Example Itinerary – Arctic Midnight New Year Celebration, 4 Nights / 5 Days

A sample New Year stay at Lumo Resort, combining Arctic activities, festive dining and a special New Year’s Eve celebration.

Day 1 – Arrival

Arrive at Kuusamo Airport and transfer to Lumo Resort.

Check in, receive your thermal clothing and settle into your accommodation with panoramic views. A New Year’s celebration kit and festive surprises will be waiting for you.

In the evening, enjoy a three-course dinner at the resort restaurant.

Day 2 – Snowmobile Safari and New Year’s Eve Celebration

After breakfast, head out for a snowmobile safari through the Arctic wilderness.

Lunch is served at the resort.

In the afternoon, relax at the resort or enjoy optional activities such as sledding, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing.

In the evening, enjoy dinner followed by a special New Year’s Eve celebration party.

Day 3 – Husky Ride and Resort Activities

After breakfast, enjoy a husky ride through the winter landscape.

Lunch is served at the resort.

Spend the afternoon relaxing or enjoying the resort’s outdoor activities at your own pace.

In the evening, enjoy a three-course dinner.

Day 4 – Aurora Hunting Tour

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed day at the resort with optional sledding, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing.

Lunch is served at the resort.

After dinner, join an Aurora hunting tour to look for the Northern Lights. Snacks are served in the wilderness during the guided experience.

Day 5 – Departure

Enjoy breakfast before check-out.

Transfer back to Kuusamo Airport for your departure flight.

Animals

We have a designated pet-friendly room where guests may bring a pet. Pets are not allowed on the sofa or the bed. Pets must have their own bed or crate, and other guests on the property must be taken into consideration. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times. This is especially important because there are reindeer in the area, and serious damage or accidents could occur. For safety reasons, pets are not allowed in the reindeer enclosure. Reindeer sleigh rides take place there, and a reindeer may panic if startled.
