Lumo Resort is a high-end arctic resort in Ruka-Kuusamo, Lapland, Finland. We have 23 glass-roofed rooms and suites, activities on our own forest and lake grounds, and our own restaurant. The restaurant is built around wild, local ingredients: game, forest berries and other flavours of the northern wilderness. Culinary direction is by chef Kim Mikkola, a former sous chef at Noma and the founder of a Michelin-starred restaurant Inari.

We opened in 2025, so this is our second winter in business. For the season 2026-2027, we are opening a brand new Lappish kota (hut) styled bar on our grounds. The bar will have the atmosphere of a traditional kota, but is fully equipped with modern amenities.

If you get excited about building something new, this opportunity is for you. As the bar is just opening, you get to be a big part of shaping its story. You'll work alongside our wine sommelier and other members of our tight-knit small team: waiters, chefs and activity guides.

Your responsibilities:

• Plan the cocktail menu, using local flavours such as berries, herbs and spruce
• Run the bar on your own on most nights: setup, service, closing and stock
• Train other staff with basic cocktail making
• Help with dinner service when the bar is quiet

• Solid cocktail experience and a feel for good drinks
• Fluent spoken English
• Exceptional customer service skills; easygoing attitude and love to chat with guests
• Comfort working evenings and nights, and working independently
• The right to work in Finland

• Finnish, German, French, Spanish or other language skills
• Experience serving high-end guests

It’s a big plus if you can also help with other work, such as waiting tables, guiding guests or driving transfers. It isn’t required, but in a small team, flexibility is always welcome.

• A full-time, fixed-term seasonal contract from November 2026 to March 2027
• Mostly evening and night shifts
• Salary depending on your experience, following the collective agreement for the hospitality sector (MaRa TES)
• Staff housing if needed
