Lumo Resort is a high-end arctic resort in Ruka-Kuusamo, Lapland, Finland. We have 23 glass-roofed rooms and suites, activities on our own forest and lake grounds, and our own restaurant. The restaurant is built around wild, local ingredients: game, forest berries and other flavours of the northern wilderness. Culinary direction is by chef Kim Mikkola, a former sous chef at Noma and the founder of a Michelin-starred restaurant Inari.

We opened in December 2025, so this is our second winter. We’re still young, so you’ll help shape both the story of our resort and your own role in it.

We’re looking for drivers to welcome our guests to Lapland. You’re often the first person from Lumo Resort they meet when they land, and the last one they see when they leave, so you set the tone for their whole stay. Every transfer is private, one booking per vehicle, so the work is personal rather than a shuttle run.

Your responsibilities:

• Meet guests at Kuusamo airport with a Lumo Resort sign and drive them to the resort, about a 10-minute drive
• Drive longer transfers to and from Rovaniemi and Oulu, about 3 hours each way
• Drive guests to Ruka and other places nearby on request
• Help guests with their luggage and share a few tips about the area on the way
• Keep the vehicles clean, warm and ready to go

Must have:

• A driving licence (class B)
• Solid experience driving on winter roads, in snow, ice and darkness
• Fluent spoken English
• Excellent customer service skills, a calm attitude and a friendly way with guests
• Punctuality and flexibility. Shifts follow flight and activity times, sometimes early in the morning or late at night.
• The right to work in Finland

Nice to have:

• Experience in professional passenger transport, such as taxi, bus or hotel transfers
• Knowledge of the Kuusamo and Ruka area
• Finnish, German, Arabic, French, Spanish or other language skills

It’s a big plus if you can also help with other work, such as guiding outdoor activities or aurora tours. It isn’t required, but in a small team, flexibility is always welcome.

What we offer:

• A full-time, part-time or hourly on-call, fixed-term seasonal contract from November 2026 to March 2027
• Salary based on your experience
• Staff housing if needed
• A small, warm team where everyone helps each other out
